Leaha Crawford 0:44
Good morning, Las Vegas. Welcome to. So you can

Julian Rosado 0:51
say good morning to me. You just well, good morning,

Leaha Crawford 0:54
Las Vegas. Welcome to Roth and Grace. I'm Leah Crawford. Good morning, Julian. How

Julian Rosado 0:58
you doing? You watched World Cup.

Leaha Crawford 1:01
See, didn't we have this conversation last? Didn't we have this conversation last or two weeks ago? How was it? Okay, so you want to know what Julian, since you watched it, tell us all about it, man.

Julian Rosado 1:11
All right, so Ronaldo lost. So that's. Do you know who Christian Ronaldo is? Nope. No, me. I ain't even stuttering no. But LeBron, I know who he is. Yeah, yeah, LeBron. You know he left Lakers. You know that, right?

Leaha Crawford 1:28
I saw that. Yeah, I wasn't sure if that was true or not. So

Julian Rosado 1:31
the three teams he's interested in is Miami, going back to Cleveland, or he wanted to go to New York Knicks, but they lost. I mean, they won the championship. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Leaha Crawford 1:45
Well, Cleveland did good last year. Cleveland, Cleveland went to the um, the um, the Eastern final, right?

Julian Rosado 1:51
Yeah, yeah. All right.

Leaha Crawford 1:52
So Cleveland did good. He's from Cleveland. Yeah, yeah. So we, it would be good to go home.

Julian Rosado 1:55
Yeah, good to go home.

Leaha Crawford 1:56
And Miami's a fabulous city.

Julian Rosado 1:59
Yeah, fabulous city. All right. So,

Leaha Crawford 2:01
what we gonna talk about today? Because I didn't. I'm sorry. I didn't get a guest. I've been busy trying to get my office together in my house.

Julian Rosado 2:09
How's it going?

Leaha Crawford 2:10
Got boxes everywhere.

Julian Rosado 2:11
Oh, really? It's

Leaha Crawford 2:12
or it's an organized mess, though.

Julian Rosado 2:13
Oh, I know where

Leaha Crawford 2:14
everything. Okay, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna say that. I know what zone different things are in, so that when I am looking for something, I know where in the house I need to go.

Julian Rosado 2:25
Yeah,

Leaha Crawford 2:25
I had you know, it's so funny because when you think about computer equipment, as we know, computer equipment can't be hot, and it's so hot here, so I couldn't put the computer equipment in the garage.

Julian Rosado 2:34
Yeah,

Leaha Crawford 2:34
I had to put find a place in the house to put the computer equipment so it could stay cool. Yeah, but it has been a journey. We are officially moved out of the office, so we are a virtual accounting and tax firm.

Julian Rosado 2:48
Yeah, you're you're very good at that because very few people like well, not gonna say very few people, but people like I know that work from home that they said I I can't do it because after they wake up, after they do their work? They they say like, man, I'm still at home. Well, you know, they like that drive. They like that separation. Some people

Leaha Crawford 3:09
like that separation, but you, and I guess I haven't gotten there yet because well, I'm still stuck on getting out the bed.

Julian Rosado 3:16
Yeah, yeah. It's like we're in the bed. Yeah, you know,

Leaha Crawford 3:21
but and it's

Julian Rosado 3:23
only been like a month, right?

Leaha Crawford 3:24
Well, it's been actually three months. Okay, but we officially, but we had the office open. We still had the office open, but we officially closed the office on june 30. Okay, and we no on june 30 was it was I thought it was going to be emotional. We got everything moved out in six hours.

Julian Rosado 3:39
Dave,

Leaha Crawford 3:40
everything was gone in six hours. Who helped you with that? Well, we had a moving company.

Julian Rosado 3:44
Oh, come,

Leaha Crawford 3:45
we packed everything up. Moving company came. Everything is done. Office cleaned, swept everything, and we um yeah we moved. But we, the good thing is, I am I am grateful for the team. So to Brenda and Lil, I am grateful for the team of us because we've been working together through it. And when things happen, like, hmm, okay, so we got to figure out a way to do that better. Hmm. Okay, we got to figure out a way to do this better. And everybody has been, even even our clients, gracious because of the move and us having to now rework our systems and figure out how do we do it with all of us not being in the office.

Julian Rosado 4:21
Do you have any clients that say like, "Man, I really wish you had that office. No, really love. Have I ever

Leaha Crawford 4:26
had one going

Julian Rosado 4:26
down there?

Leaha Crawford 4:27
No, I've I've had several that have said since I have been there for so long, they they enjoyed going because it was warm, it was welcoming, and

Julian Rosado 4:36
I've never been in a accountant's office like that.

Leaha Crawford 4:41
Well, you always said that people. Hey, how you doing? No, it was warm. It was welcoming. So we will have to find another way to engage our clients.

Julian Rosado 4:50
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 4:51
But it's so interesting now because you don't realize when the phone rings after 5o'clock because I'm not in the office. But now since the phone is in my house, I hear it ring after 5o'clock

Julian Rosado 4:59
Oh yeah.

Leaha Crawford 5:00
So I'm sitting there like, who is calling me at 8o'clock at night? What do you? Why do you think I'm open at eight? Do you go to people's

Julian Rosado 5:05
house?

Leaha Crawford 5:05
I

Julian Rosado 5:06
do. Oh, I do.

Leaha Crawford 5:07
So we select. So for our clients that we've had for a very long time, I am doing well. That's how I started the business years ago. I would go to people's houses, go to Starbucks, and go. We'll go to different coffee shops. And now with the West Las Vegas Library. They even have an office that you can.

Julian Rosado 5:23
I've been there. Yeah, I told you. I've been there. I got a library card and everything. Absolutely amazing. If you

Leaha Crawford 5:29
haven't, if you haven't been, they let me rent an

Julian Rosado 5:31
office. I was like, okay, how much is it? They were like,

Leaha Crawford 5:34
it's no charge. Yeah, it's no charge. No, you just have to. You just have to. You just have to reserve the room. Yeah. So I am going to have a conversation with with. I'm gonna go over there and talk to the library because I may go over there if I want to break up the monotony, like you said, and I want to go somewhere and work.

Julian Rosado 5:50
Yeah. Take my

Leaha Crawford 5:51
laptop over there and you know

Julian Rosado 5:53
it's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. It's super clean. Did you walk up the steps? That's where I had. That's where I did the office at upstairs.

Leaha Crawford 6:03
Okay. Did you walk up the steps or did you take the elevator?

Julian Rosado 6:05
Oh, I never took the elevator. No, I walked up the steps. When

Leaha Crawford 6:08
you walk up the steps, it's the history of the West Side. I know. I

Julian Rosado 6:11
saw it. Yeah. Did you see it? Yeah. Oh my God. I think I I

Leaha Crawford 6:14
cried tears because the people that they talk about, you know, you hear about these people. You hear about the the the just all the amazing things that the people in Las Vegas, you know, on historic West Side have done. So it's an amazing. It's it's a well thought out venue. Yeah,

Julian Rosado 6:29
you see like where your tax dollars are going. You do. You would be like, man, this is. We do. You do, and I know people having

Leaha Crawford 6:36
events there and everything there. Oh,

Julian Rosado 6:37
I never thought about that. Yeah, no, it's it's a

Leaha Crawford 6:39
it's a very. It's a busy. It's a busy library.

Julian Rosado 6:42
Oh yeah, yeah.

Leaha Crawford 6:43
It's a busy library. All right. So today we are going to talk about the habits that shape your life, becoming who you're meant to be. Now I'm not an expert on that because I'm still becoming, right?

Julian Rosado 6:55
No, you're not.

Leaha Crawford 6:55
I am. No, you're not. I am. I am. No, I am because the thing is, once you get to a certain point in life, I mean, you-I mean, for me, oh yeah, you're always growing.

Julian Rosado 7:07
You a yeah, yeah, yeah. You're

Leaha Crawford 7:08
always growing, so I mean, you're not

Julian Rosado 7:10
the same. Like I know, I'm not the same person. Like when I was 13. Yeah. Well, honestly, I'm not the same person I was a year ago. A year ago, life

Leaha Crawford 7:18
was different. The plan was different.

Julian Rosado 7:19
Yeah. You

Leaha Crawford 7:20
know, but this year, due to everything that has happened, you know, when I do my checkups, you know, my my checkup from the neck up and check, I'm like, okay, so what do I need to do? What happened? How do I analyze it? And and then what's the plan? The good thing is, is that I write my plan out. So never

Julian Rosado 7:34
thought about doing it every year. I do.

Leaha Crawford 7:36
So I call it I call it Big Rock, Big Rocks. So

Julian Rosado 7:41
like a New Year's resolution? Not

Leaha Crawford 7:42
like a New Year's resolution because I start planning it in September.

Julian Rosado 7:46
Okay,

Leaha Crawford 7:47
like September, October. I start thinking about what do I want my health to look like.

Julian Rosado 7:51
Okay,

Leaha Crawford 7:51
right? Do I want to be what? What? I mean, what do I want my health to look like? What do my blood pressure, my cholesterol? Do I want to walk every day, working out. What do I want my What do I want my health? What do you? Because this is four different aspect aspects of the big ride. So it's the health set, mindset. What mindset do I want to carry on? And then I look at what I wrote because I've been doing this now for about six years. What mindset do I want to carry forward? My soul. My soul set. Do

Julian Rosado 8:23
you ever look back?

Leaha Crawford 8:24
I do. So I have. So for real. So it's health set, soul set. Hold on. Let me. I'm trying to think of it right offhand, and I'm having a problem, y'all. I'm stuttering.

Julian Rosado 8:34
How many? It's four. A four. So it's

Leaha Crawford 8:36
health set, soul set, mind set, and heart set.

Julian Rosado 8:40
Okay.

Leaha Crawford 8:40
So with the C, I know it would come heart set, and I take all of those things first. I put definitions around it, saying what does it mean to me. So my health, my mind, my soul, and my heart.

Julian Rosado 8:52
Health, wealth, and happiness.

Leaha Crawford 8:53
Health and your heart. Yeah. So your soul, your, and just thinking like, how do I want to be perceived?

Julian Rosado 8:58
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 8:59
Who am I? And I started digging in about five, like five years ago, and some things I'm still working on.

Julian Rosado 9:04
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 9:05
And then I laid out all of the places that I wanted to go. I want. I created my bucket list. Oh yeah, you do

Julian Rosado 9:10
travel a lot. I do. Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 9:11
So I created my bucket list, and I. And you don't

Julian Rosado 9:15
tell nobody. I don't. I don't. That's that's true. I text you. You be like, yeah, I'm in Miami right now. Well, right. Well, I well, well, well. Like, thank you for the head. Thank you for the heads. And

Leaha Crawford 9:30
the thing is, I don't think I travel a lot. I don't. I don't. But I am blessed that I am able to. But with that, I have my list. So what I did was, I wrote the alphabet down from A to Z, and six years ago I wrote down with each letter where did I want to go, and I just named the craziest things in the world.

Julian Rosado 9:49
What's Z?

Leaha Crawford 9:50
I don't. Oh God, what is Z? Hold on, I'm gonna tell you what Z is. Hold that thought because it's written down. I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget, but I do have a Z.

Julian Rosado 9:59
Okay. I

Leaha Crawford 10:00
do have a Z. I don't know where I was going, but I do have a Z.

Julian Rosado 10:02
All I could think of is Zimbabwe.

Leaha Crawford 10:05
That might be it.

Julian Rosado 10:06
Okay. That might

Leaha Crawford 10:07
be it.

Julian Rosado 10:08
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 10:08
Yeah, but I do have a Z.

Julian Rosado 10:09
Okay.

Leaha Crawford 10:10
But I went, and what it made me do when I did that was go each letter and pull up countries by A, cities by A.

Julian Rosado 10:17
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 10:17
I took the Atlanta, and because I've been to Atlanta a number of times. I want. I want to ask. I think I put Athens, Greece for A.

Julian Rosado 10:24
Oh yeah.

Leaha Crawford 10:24
You know, and for B, I. Would

Julian Rosado 10:27
you ever move to

Leaha Crawford 10:28
another country?

Julian Rosado 10:29
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 10:30
I thought about it.

Julian Rosado 10:30
Yeah. Yeah. I was so I lived up like Italy and like a house in Italy. You know, like a beautiful house, like 14,000

Leaha Crawford 10:39
in Italy.

Julian Rosado 10:39
Yeah. Whole

Leaha Crawford 10:40
1000.

Julian Rosado 10:41
Yeah, yeah.

Leaha Crawford 10:41
I would. I was

Julian Rosado 10:42
like, oh my god. Yeah, yeah. No,

Leaha Crawford 10:44
but the thing about it is, is that when I was, as I do this, like I'm going to look back now at my big rocks, and I have it from 2020, 2021, 20. I started doing. I started doing it right before COVID hit.

Julian Rosado 10:56
Okay. Maybe 2019.

Leaha Crawford 10:57
So 2019, 2020, 2021, and I look at it every year, and periodically throughout the year, I would glance at it to see what did I want. And I wanted better relationships with family. I wanted different. I wanted good relationships, real relationships with family, and like going back and forth home to Philly. It is good, and I wanted healthy relationships with the people with my clients. So part of what you see now is part of that. I wanted the office to be warm, friendly because we're talking about tax stuff. You have to come in here and give me a lot of your personal information, and I wanted to make sure that you felt comfortable giving me your personal information. That I wouldn't do anything to harm you. I wouldn't tell. Like I don't talk about who my clients are. Now, if you tell somebody that that you're my client, that's fine. But I don't talk about who my clients are. Yeah. And I just wanted a different life. I didn't like where I was, but I knew I wanted to go somewhere.

Julian Rosado 11:56
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 11:56
Yeah. Yeah. So, but it was again the habits that shape your life, becoming who you're meant to be. So, how do you develop habits? How did you

Julian Rosado 12:09
find out who you want to be?

Leaha Crawford 12:11
I'm still figuring it out because I, I wanted to be a person. I wanted to come from a place of love when talking to people. I've been making a conscious effort on when I'm talking to people that my words are uplifting.

Julian Rosado 12:25
You've been mean.

Leaha Crawford 12:26
I use yeah. Oh yeah. I can string some words together. I can string some words together. Ooh, I can string some words together. Yeah, part sailor. I can string some words together, but I don't think that that's necessary.

Julian Rosado 12:43
Yeah, I

Leaha Crawford 12:43
don't. I think that you can say the same thing and use words, and if you are how to communicate effectively,

Julian Rosado 12:51
yeah,

Leaha Crawford 12:52
with people, but leave them wanting more.

Julian Rosado 12:55
Yeah, how do you? I found out like almost like two years ago. People's perspective, like they're always going through different things, and just so always understand that. So when somebody's nasty to you, so it has nothing to do with you. Nothing has nothing to do with you. That's an inside job to do with you. And like the nicer you are to them, the more they're open up. Yeah, yeah.

Leaha Crawford 13:15
Kind kindness is because I tell people I'm not nice. I'm kind.

Julian Rosado 13:19
Yeah, I'm not

Leaha Crawford 13:20
nice. I am kind though, because I am conscious about. Because if I, but if I say something mean, I thought about

Julian Rosado 13:25
it. I put those

Leaha Crawford 13:26
words together strategically, and to leave you

Julian Rosado 13:29
wanting more, right?

Leaha Crawford 13:30
But let me ask you this: Have you ever thought about your day and what is automatic? Like what is on auto drive, autopilot, things you do? Okay, so like just things you do just automatic. Like you get up in the morning. Do you get up in the morning, make your bed, turn the TV on, go make you some coffee, brush your teeth, take. I mean, it's certain things on autopilot.

Julian Rosado 13:52
Something I have been doing recently is making my bed.

Leaha Crawford 13:55
Do you put the potato on your face every morning? A

Julian Rosado 13:57
potato on my. Remember you told me. Oh yeah, I do that probably about like once a month. Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 14:02
Okay. You stick to the potato.

Julian Rosado 14:04
Yeah. Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 14:04
Okay. I forget

Julian Rosado 14:05
the name of like the nutrients in it, but if anybody, it's better than any type of cream, anything, anything. So y'all told you I'm gonna

Leaha Crawford 14:13
go to the store and buy me a potato. I'm gonna start. Oh, you said once a month.

Julian Rosado 14:16
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 14:16
Just take the potato and just rub it. Well, I

Julian Rosado 14:18
do it once a month, but you could do it every single night. Yeah. I'm not doing whatever. You feel it. You feel it like the next morning, really, and you actually see it. Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 14:28
Oh wow. Okay. But but what behaviors are you seeing that you do? I mean, besides you wake up in the like, think about it. You wake up in the morning. Do you open your eyes? Do you sit there and lay down for a minute, or do you not jump on

Julian Rosado 14:39
the phone at least for until about like 10, I don't get on the phone. I learned that a while ago. You don't. I'm sorry. You don't

Leaha Crawford 14:48
get on the phone.

Julian Rosado 14:49
No, no, I don't take calls. Nothing like that. My phone stays on airplane mode, so I don't do none of that until

Leaha Crawford 14:55
10 o'clock.

Julian Rosado 14:56
Yeah, until okay. Okay. So then, when 10

Leaha Crawford 14:58
o'clock happens, what do you do?

Julian Rosado 14:59
Yeah. Then. Take calls, then I basically go to work.

Leaha Crawford 15:02
Start moving around.

Julian Rosado 15:03
Yeah, yeah.

Leaha Crawford 15:04
What time do you? What do you shut down?

Julian Rosado 15:06
What before? No, no, no. I start working out. No, I work out, take a walk. You know what I mean? Just get my mind. So now, what

Leaha Crawford 15:13
do you do now that it's well? It's it's it's it's 100 degrees at 10 o'clock. So how do you go walking at 10?

Julian Rosado 15:18
No, it's usually it's not not that bad. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, it's usually pretty good too. So

Leaha Crawford 15:24
you you. So what do you do before 10 o'clock? Then you just you just lay there. You what what do you do if you wake up before 10?

Julian Rosado 15:31
Um, usually before 10. Well, I'm not gonna say what time I wake up because because I'm a night person. I you I go to bed like at four, so oh wow, okay. Oh, got it. Not gonna say like what time I wake up. So I guess

Leaha Crawford 15:48
that is fair. So because since you're not going to bed till 410, o'clock is early. Yeah, because 10 o'clock is late for me.

Julian Rosado 15:54
Yeah. Okay. Because

Leaha Crawford 15:55
by 10 o'clock I didn't did a whole bunch of stuff.

Julian Rosado 15:56
Oh yeah. Because

Leaha Crawford 15:57
I get up at about so when you're going to bed.

Julian Rosado 15:59
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 15:59
I'm I'm waking up.

Julian Rosado 16:00
Yeah. Because most of my clients are on the East Coast, and these are athletes, so they wake up like at five, and so that's why I'm usually, you know, at 2o'clock in the

Leaha Crawford 16:10
morning. You're you're catching them on the phone. Yeah. Okay, got it. That makes sense because I wake up at about 430-5o'clock

Julian Rosado 16:15
Oh, okay. Yeah, and

Leaha Crawford 16:17
I'm up at 430-five

Julian Rosado 16:18
Oh,

Leaha Crawford 16:18
and but I go to bed at 830 Oh yeah,

Julian Rosado 16:20
that's when I hit a bit. Yeah. Oh, that's when. Oh, that's

Leaha Crawford 16:24
when you moving. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So in the morning when you so and I guess think about that though. What part of your day is automated? I want you guys to think about that. You know, when you get up in the morning, what is routine for you?

Julian Rosado 16:35
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 16:36
What is routine for you? And is there something about that routine that you want to change?

Julian Rosado 16:40
What's the what's the big change?

Leaha Crawford 16:44
Well, what where do you see yourself in five years? Because you, I guess, when I think about it, I start with the end in mind and building habits that can become my behaviors. So, with us going virtual, I ask we're um we're now working out what working out what time we need to be available for each other, and I'm asking the team to. Well, the request is after a certain hour, everybody turn their phone off at home, so that all calls go to voicemail. Because I tell your employees

Julian Rosado 17:15
to turn off. Uh huh.

Leaha Crawford 17:16
I tell them put on do not disturb absolutely because the phone rings because because the line rings in all of our houses, so I'm like, I don't want to impede on your family time.

Julian Rosado 17:25
Oh, okay. So I

Leaha Crawford 17:26
don't want the phone to, you know, I want you to enjoy your. I still want you to have the work life. I'm a big proponent of a work life integration, where you can shut this off, even though you're working from

Julian Rosado 17:37
home. Oh man, you're a really good boss.

Leaha Crawford 17:39
Yeah, no, I'm I'm very conscious of that because I, you know, I just I know when I was younger was a

Julian Rosado 17:45
good turnout of employees. Well,

Leaha Crawford 17:47
the other side too, when I was younger and working, you know, I was working 1213, hour days. But then I thought about it: was I really working all those hours, or was I just hanging out at the office? No, I mean when I think, because I, you know, you be you're there, you're you're talking to coworkers, you're going to lunch, however long that is, then you got to commute back and forth. So, how many real productive hours were you doing? So, I I um I read something, or talking to my coach about it about five years ago, and he was like Leah, to get the most production, do a 120 9060

Julian Rosado 18:25
What is that?

Leaha Crawford 18:26
So 120 9060 He said, you know, take your day. You know, start off working out, doing something during the day to get your body moving. And he said, for two hours, your first segment, you find something that you work on and you just work on that for two hours. You don't answer the phone, you don't answer emails, you don't do anything. Oh yeah, you just work on that for two hours. He said, then give yourself a break, go and do something else, go cook some food. He said, then come back and focus for 90 minutes on something that you want to accomplish. I said okay. Then he said, go take a break.

Julian Rosado 18:56
And then when you put an alarm on, put an

Leaha Crawford 18:59
alarm on to make sure that you're you know, in the 90 minutes.

Julian Rosado 19:01
Okay.

Leaha Crawford 19:02
And he said, then take a break. Then come back and do 60 minutes.

Julian Rosado 19:05
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 19:05
And he said, if you continually do that and build the habit, I said, well, what am I supposed to do? He said, look at your to-do list.

Julian Rosado 19:11
Yeah.

Leaha Crawford 19:11
And he said, look at your everything you have out there. I said, well, I got to get a to-do list because we were trying to break down how to get the most productivity out of my day, and he was like, "You're scattered. You're all over the place. How do you get the? And I was like, "I just want to know how to get the most productivity out out the day. So he pushed me to write down a to do list, and on the to do list, he was like, "And you, um, you just write it down. He said, "You don't need anything fancy. Just go get a book and a piece of a piece of paper, just write it down. When you finish it, cross it off.

Julian Rosado 19:44
Oh yeah,

Leaha Crawford 19:45
you know so that you can so you can see your accomplishment. And he said, just look at it. And so we now have an app that we use. We've advanced to an app that we use, and it's so funny because I haven't looked in the app, and my team puts my stuff in the app. I um when I go home today. Or this week, I'm going to look at it and do my 120, 120, 90, 60, and start really digging in and building the system that we're going to do for the office.

Julian Rosado 20:12
What time you go to bed?

Leaha Crawford 20:13
8o'clock 830 I start shutting down at 830

Julian Rosado 20:16
Man, I'm I'm

Leaha Crawford 20:17
sleep by like 1030 but shutting down means I'm just getting ready.

Julian Rosado 20:22
Okay, you

Leaha Crawford 20:22
know I am. I probably charge my phones up because see, you weren't on here last week when David Ricketts was on here talking about how you shouldn't charge your phones up while you're sleep.

Julian Rosado 20:32
Oh, so he was like, you know,

Leaha Crawford 20:34
if you always keep if you have charges in every room, then he was talking about make make sure that your charger that you're using for your devices is the charger that came with the devices, and he he was going through a whole bunch of stuff. So I started just charging all of my stuff up in that two hours. I have enough charge. I just charge everything up. I sit down. I clean up a little bit so I can wake up to a clean house.

Julian Rosado 20:54
Oh yeah.

Leaha Crawford 20:55
And maybe take a shower, sit down for a minute, meditate, maybe watch. I try not to watch TV right before I go to bed, but that hasn't been happening lately because I've been no, I've been binge watching the show. So,

Julian Rosado 21:06
what show?

Leaha Crawford 21:07
Nashville. I had I never saw Nashville, so I am binge. What is

Julian Rosado 21:09
that on?

Leaha Crawford 21:10
Netflix. Netflix. I am binge watching it, and I'm yeah I yeah I I've been watching it for a week. So binge watching. What's

Julian Rosado 21:19
a habit of mine. I watch old shows that I've seen like 1000s of times, and I remember Tony Robbins said that. Stop doing that. Now, why

Leaha Crawford 21:29
do you do that?

Julian Rosado 21:30
I don't know. I think I think because I know it's good. Like I watch Kirby Enthusiasm a lot. What is it? Oh man, Kirby enthusiasm with Larry Dave's on HBO. Oh my God! All right, you're listening

Leaha Crawford 21:43
to Growth and Grace. I'm Leah Crawford. This

Julian Rosado 21:45
is Julian Rosa, and we are

Leaha Crawford 21:46
sitting here today. We're supposed to be talking about habits, but we have gone all over the place. Let me ask you this, Julian: How do you identify achievements?

Julian Rosado 21:56
It's first is usually a really emotional feeling, like you know what I mean. It's even like a small achievement after you work out, you know, you feel like oh man, like you you feel wonderful, like basically because the endorphins are going crazy, and yeah. After that, you know, after I make a call, especially after I close the deal, you know, like when it's actually finalized, you know that it it just it's it's because like your endorphins are just going absolutely crazy. What happens,

Leaha Crawford 22:32
but how do you deal with setbacks though?

Julian Rosado 22:34
Setbacks. Well, what I've learned you just have to keep going, and so a friend of mine told me he said that you can really set your mind because your mind you can set your mind to whoever that you want to be. You won't know, and so any problems that you have, you know, you can see it as what this is great, and just keep going. So, like you know, any problems that you have, you know, you can see it as a positive, and just always you know view it as that. You know, I

Leaha Crawford 23:12
love it. Yeah, I love it. I love it. What small habit do you think that you do that shapes your identity.

Julian Rosado 23:21
Small habit. I guess I think the the walk in the morning. What my therapist said, she does that, and it really helps. And it actually really does. You know, it gets. So just walk. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do it first thing in the morning, and it it first when I when I did it, my mind was just going crazy. Just thinking about just everything. Oh man, I got to do this, this, this, this, this, and then she said, focus on one thing, one thing, and then just dissect

Leaha Crawford 23:57
it, and

Julian Rosado 23:58
then be glad that you have that one thing, you know. Practicing grace, yeah. Being grateful for being being

Leaha Crawford 24:05
grateful instead of talking about what I don't have. Yeah, be grateful for what you do have. Yeah,

Julian Rosado 24:08
yeah, yeah.

Leaha Crawford 24:09
Because that's that thing. Well, growth and grace.

Julian Rosado 24:11
Yeah,

Leaha Crawford 24:12
that's one thing. Is is just being being grateful, being gracious.

Julian Rosado 24:17
Yeah,

Leaha Crawford 24:18
for where you are and what you're doing. All right, so let's do this lightning round. I'm going to do you this time. All right. Oh no. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. We're gonna see what you come up with. We're gonna see what you come up with. No habit.

Julian Rosado 24:30
Um. Oh, I can't do the three word thing. Um. One word. First thing that pops in my mind. Oh yeah. One word. Um. Consistency.

Leaha Crawford 24:40
Okay. Discipline.

Julian Rosado 24:42
Um. heartbreak.

Leaha Crawford 24:45
Oh, heartbreak and discipline, y'all. I just you're right. It takes all types. Consistency,

Julian Rosado 24:55
endorphins,

Leaha Crawford 24:57
success.

Julian Rosado 25:00
Probably won't like it. Money,

Leaha Crawford 25:01
failure,

Julian Rosado 25:04
happiness.

Leaha Crawford 25:07
Okay, trust.

Julian Rosado 25:10
I we're

Leaha Crawford 25:11
supposed to be lightning rod. You're supposed to be thinking faster than that. No,

Julian Rosado 25:14
I said that's trust. I would think of first thing that really comes to my mind is my sister Gabby. Okay, all right, that's fair, Gabby.

Leaha Crawford 25:25
Okay, leadership.

Julian Rosado 25:26
I think of old. Okay,

Leaha Crawford 25:30
old. Yeah, that's okay, y'all, y'all. Okay. Yeah. Grace.

Julian Rosado 25:34
I say religion.

Leaha Crawford 25:36
Okay. Forgiveness.

Julian Rosado 25:38
Can I use this the same one? You

Leaha Crawford 25:42
can you can you can you can. Y'all, I'm not giving him the answers. I'm not helping him. I'm just letting him go.

Julian Rosado 25:47
I say, heartbreak again. All right. Okay.

Leaha Crawford 25:52
All right.

Julian Rosado 25:52
Clearly, I've been through a relationship.

Leaha Crawford 25:55
You got old country song going up in you, Rosie. We need Wes. Um, Wes, we need we we got it. He got it. He got a good old country song over there. We gonna have him sit down and write it out, and we gonna sit there, and then we gonna we can get a guitar player, and we're gonna sit here and and just get it out. People miss him

Julian Rosado 26:11
like he's been through some. He's been through some things, but those the best stories though. Yeah,

Leaha Crawford 26:16
legacy,

Julian Rosado 26:17
um, time.

Leaha Crawford 26:20
Okay, so I'm gonna let you switch it. I'm gonna let you do me. Okay, let you do me. Let's see what. Let's see what I got.

Julian Rosado 26:26

Leaha Crawford 26:33

Julian Rosado 27:01
Supposed to be rapid, remember? Supposed to be rapid, remember? No, because a whole

Leaha Crawford 27:04
lot of stuff ran through my mind. But when you say location, I'm gonna say Las Vegas.

Julian Rosado 27:09

Leaha Crawford 27:32
